Job Summary

Supervises event services functions and activities for Wolstein Center events, including: ushers, ticket takers, and guest services. Works with Events Manager and Box Office Manager to train event staff. Assists in scheduling event staff for events, including handling call-offs and scheduling conflicts, scheduling and implementing beaks, and cutting down staffing when event work is slow. Acts as Event Staff Manager on event days. Works an intermittent schedule. Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications

One to three years prior work experience at an arena and/or conference facility. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to stand during entire shift (2–8 hours) and walk patrons to their seats. May be required to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to work flexible and extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays in addition to normal business hours as needed based upon the events scheduled in the arena facility. Ability to be trained to handle patron issues, emergency evacuation procedures. Leadership skills and ability to motivate workers.
